Hawaii Part 2 (Finally) Kauai

The view from the back of our condo in Kauai was AMAZING.... The flowers and colors in Kauai were beautiful. They call Kauai the Garden Island.

And...here it is. Our condo was kinda in the GHETTO of Kauai.

These next pictures were taken while we were on our life raft...AKA the boat Ken made me get on and go out in the middle of the ocean... We went on a trip around the Na'Pali Coast. It was beautiful. The pictures aren't that great because I didn't want to take my good camera on the boat so I bought a cheap water proof camera... But you will get the idea.

This coast line is where they filmed the original King Kong and Jurrasic park. It was amazing. While out on the boat we saw a bunch of whales and dolphins...but of course I didn't have my camera and I was out of pictures on my water proof one...Oh well they were beautiful...

The BoBo

What a week. BoBo has been sick, really sick. We took her to the insta care on Saturday and the doctor told us she had a very bad ear infection, and pneumonia. He prescribed an antibiotic that should fix both problems and sent us on our way. She has asthma so it seems any time she gets any type of cold it goes directly to her lungs.

Well the cough got worse, the fevers got higher, and her breathing got more labored. And Austin got the cough and fever...yay...

Monday I took them both to the doc...They checked Olivia's oxygen levels and they were at an 82. The doctor checked her into Primary Children's Medical Center. They preformed what is called deep suction...yes it is as disgusting and as awful as it sounds... but it seemed to help. They also did a lung x-ray. It turned out she did not have pneumonia, but she has a virus called metapneumovirus. I have never heard of it either...

But now we are now home, with a perscription for the "suction clinic" and we are doing OK.

Maui Hawaii Part One

Here we are on the plane. Soooo Excited to get to Hawaii. Our trip was in 3 parts. First we went to Maui, then we went to Kauai, then we went to The Big Island.

On Kamaole Beach. The sand was so soft. No rocks...I loved walking in it with no shoes on.

On Tuesday it rained HARD. We were supposed to go on a snorkeling cruise but it got cancelled because of the rain so we went on a drive around the northern tip of the island. It was beautiful.

I loved this old church up on stilts.

The road was so narrow in spots out little tiny rental car barely fit on it.

I could have sat and listened to the waves all day. It was the most calming sound I have ever heard.

This old sailboat was out in the Lahaina Harbor.

This tree was in the middle of Lahaina. It was the coolest tree I have ever seen. All of the pictures are of the same tree. It started with the big one above and the limbs would grow vines that came down and they would some how plant themselves into the ground and the same tree had all of these different trunks. It was amazing.

I will post more pictures of our trip tomorrow...I am so tired after our all night trip home I am going to go to bed now.

I think this is always how it happens...I am about to go out of town...Hawaii =~} and I am so busy all of the sudden. No, no, no I am NOT complaining, but now I am worried...how will everything be taken care of while I am gone. So much for a relaxing vacation, I am going to be on my phone the whole time. Hmmmmm Ken is gonna kill me. But on the plus side it looks like the market is picking back up. Interest rates are at historic lows and people are finally out buying again. So if you know anyone looking to buy or sell tell them to call me. I can't wait to help them.

Olivia's Purse

Olivia got a purse for Christmas from her fabulous aunt Traci. She carries that thing everywhere. When she goes to bed it has to be carefully laid on the floor next to her crib. When we go to the store she carries it the whole time we are in the store, and the funniest thing is she has one of my old cell phones that she keeps in it so that when I am on my phone she can talk on hers. I have definitely got a very girly girl on my hands. She is going to be trouble one day I think.

Dewey Readmore Books...the book

Ok so I am not a big cat person...but someone told me I needed to read this book. So on Christmas Day I downloaded it to my Kindle (more about that handy little invention later...) and I finished reading it on Monday. Oh My Gosh...What a great book. If any of you are looking for a good Easy read pick this one up. It is well worth the time and/or money you will spend on it.

She knew exactly how to put them on and she would scream as loud as she could if you tried to help her or take them away. What can I say, the girl likes to look good.

Tonight we had the Grant Automotive/RE/MAX Advanced Christmas party. We played a game with gifts...Not nearly has fun as I had expected...No one wanted to trade the gifts...no one had their gift stolen...no one fought for the good gift...No punches were thrown...No tears were shed...I was incredibly disappointed.... But honestly it was a lot of fun. We had great food at a new resturant here called Zoolanders and it was perfect. Olivia ate like a horse as usual... and Austin ate like a bird as usual... Oh Christmas Tree

We decorated the Christmas tree on Sunday. What an event. It was just that day that Olivia finally perfected her fit throwing. So everytime we would have to tell her no she would very carefully lay herself on the floor then she would begin screaming and kicking her legs...we endured this about 20 times in a 45 minute time frame...SOOO fun.
Finally she calmed down enough to hang her cow jumping over the moon ornament on the tree. Next it was Austins turn to hang his spaceship ornament up. It has sound effects...soooo we helped him hang it really high.

Since Daddy held everyone else up to hang their ornaments, Austin thought he should hold up Daddy while he hung his Santa ornament. (there was a picture of Daddy holding up Mommy while she hung her snowman ornament, but it was not a good picture so it got edited...)

4. Mow the lawn he old fashioned way...like with a push mower...I am such a wuss...I have tried several times but I get hot and a headache and I just can't do it...the riding lawnmower is a different story though...I could do it all day...
5. Let water run on my face in the shower...it drives me crazy...I feel like I am suffocating...just thinking about it makes me nervous...
6. Make mashed potatoes--for some reason I ALWAYS screw them up.
7. Let it go when someone is mad at me...I don't know why but when someone is mad at me, whether I like them or not, it drives me crazy...It keeps me up at night... My husband thinks I'm mental...Leave me a comment and let me know what you think...

1. Smile-He has a fantastic smile, it lights up the whole room...
2. Work Ethic- He works soo hard...He would work 15 jobs to take care of our kids and I.
3. Loyalty- He is a very loyal person...He has always been fiercely loyal to me...And he is very loyal to his parents...That is the sign of a good man.
4. Whew---He still, 8 years later, gives me butterflies... I look in his eyes and I see how much he loves me, that is amazing...
5. Family- He was very excited to start a family...And he is an amazing father...

Discovery Gateway

Ok I don't know how many of you have been to Discovery Gateway at the Gateway Mall...but oh my gosh, My kids loved it. They have all kinds of cool things for kids to play with. They have a grocery store, a garden, a horse, a climbing wall, a news station, a life flight helicopter and so many more things. We just happened to go there on Saturday and it was sooooo much fun. Austin wants to go back everyday. Olivia could crawl around to all of the different stations and play with anything she wanted, and for all of you germ freaks out there like me I actually witnessed 3 people coming around with disinfectant more than once. I was incredibly impressed. We are even thinking of having Austins birthday party there because he had so much fun. If you are in the Salt Lake area and have a few minutes you should definitely check this place out.

Austin had his school pictures taken a couple of weeks ago...Can you believe that he is already in school?? I can not. He is doing so well, his teacher LOVES him, (but really who wouldn't) and he loves to go to school... although he thinks the bus ride there is a bit long... He also just lost his first tooth...It is so hard for me to believe he is really this big...

I know you are all very interested in the daily happenings in my very exciting life...Really who wouldn't be right... Well right now I am trying to figure out how to get goldfish cracker slobber off of my black dress pants before my meeting tonight...Any suggestions??? Olivia's new favorite trick is to eat her food with no hands...Yeah like she is a dog. It is an impressive display. I do have to say though lately BoBo has become a very fun little person to be around, we have finally made it past the really naughty times (I hope) and she has got quite a little personality. She also has quite a bit of attitude...I'm not sure where that comes from, I think it is Ken... But really does life get any better than being a Mom??? I think not...
